Open Rate in email marketing refers to the percentage of recipients who open a specific email campaign out of the total delivered. It’s calculated by dividing the number of unique opens by the number of successfully delivered emails, then multiplying by 100. Open Rate is a key indicator of subject line effectiveness, sender reputation, and audience engagement. While useful, it should be interpreted alongside click and conversion rates for a fuller view of campaign performance.
