Customer Retention Cost (CRC) refers to the total expense a business incurs to keep existing customers engaged and loyal over a given period. It includes costs related to loyalty programs, customer support, retention campaigns, product updates, and relationship management. CRC helps evaluate the efficiency of retention strategies and should be balanced against Customer Lifetime Value (LTV). A lower CRC relative to LTV indicates a sustainable and profitable retention model.
