The Kano Model is a product development and customer satisfaction framework that categorizes features based on how they impact user delight. It divides features into five categories: Basic Needs, Performance Needs, Excitement Needs, Indifferent, and Reverse. The model helps teams prioritize what to build by identifying which features are expected, which drive satisfaction, and which can create a competitive edge. It’s commonly used in UX, product strategy, and growth planning.
